Problem The company needed to have web servers’ performance to be accelerated and have redundancy within their system.

Having the servers perform SSL encryption individually was hindering their performance. This performance degradation was affecting all services that their web servers were running.

Solution The SSL acceleration feature allowed for download of web pages (encrypted and unencrypted) to be significantly increased.

Internal and remote offices were able to utilize the enhanced web services that were now employed. This enabled productivity to increase amongst those users.

By utilizing a syslog server, the TM’s performance was monitored on a real time basis, showing management of its value.

By allowing the TM to pass LDAP requests from the web servers to the LDAP servers through NAT’ing statements, the customer was able to meet a primary requirement that the device didn’t disrupt their legacy environment.

Future requirements of enabling Layer 7 persistence allow them to incorporate this technology whenever they are ready for this feature.
